Protecting Remote Employees
Employees in the office are protected by the firewall as they connect to the internet. But, when they are working remotely, it’s a hassle to connect to that office firewall before going to the internet.
A better solution for remote work is FortiSASE. Our cloud-hosted security solution uses the same FortiOS operating system as our FortiGate firewall appliances, so it provides the same protections no matter where in the world an employee is.
Safely Accessing Applications
Remote employees need to securely access applications regardless of where they, or the app, are located.
For applications in a data center, employees can use the VPN tunnel in FortiClient to create an encrypted connection to access those resources.
For SaaS applications, FortiSASE includes CASB technology to control and track access to cloud-delivered applications. For organizations looking to implement zero-trust practices, FortiSASE and FortiClient include ZTNA for application access.
Securing Endpoints
Laptops, especially those not in the the office, remain a favorite target for attackers.
FortiClient can preemptively report vulnerabilities and guide patching on endpoints, as well as keep employees from surfing malicious websites. When an attack starts, FortiClient can identify and stop malicious packets using AI-powered threat intelligence from FortiGuard Labs. Unknown files can be sent to a sandbox for analysis. Further, FortiClient can track behavior for signs of an attack and stop attacking processes as they launch.
